-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Look at your home but remember moving energy around has consequences so it's important to do it slowly and discover what feels best to you.
*Halls Stairways: These should be kept light and spacious no clutter smelling fresh and looking clean this will raise the spirits of anyone walking into your home.
Remove shoes, newspapers, all those coats hanging cluttered there. Those who live with narrow dark hallways that are cluttered may suffer mentally such as depression. Use bright colors and mirrors to lighten up this area. Wrap some ivy around the staircase and have light shine from top to bottom you want to slow the chi down not let it rush up the stairway of which the front door may open up too. This will let the chi circulate down stairs first then go slowly up stairs.
*Living room: Again remove the clutter. Arrange the seating for everyones best direction in the room. Example if your direction is best in the south you should sit in the south position of the living room. (I'll be talking about direction for everyone as well coming up)
I know we all like to watch t.v. so we face the seating in that direction but if you want a family conversation this is not the right way to do it however we have a small living room and I take advantage of the t.v. seating being we collect movies. We have family nights of watching movies as a family so even though it kills social chat and family unity it works for the family who bonds in movies..
Guest should feel welcome so offer them the prime seating in this room. And seating with back to a wall not a window or doorway the only seats that should be to a back of the window or door way are those with high backs.
[THERE IS A LOT TO GO OVER WITH FENG SHUI BUT I WILL START WITH THE EASY STUFF THEN MOVE ON TO ELEMENT PLACEMENT AND COLOUR IN ROOMS]
*Dining room: Here I'll talk about seating and taste. Remember no clutter........ *Spring:sour and yin *Summer:bitter and yang *Late Summer:sweet and yin *Autumn:pungent and yin *Winter:salt and yang
Now the elements would be *spring wood *summer fire *late summer earth *autumn metal *winter water
The Bagua and Family Seating This is an octagon shape 8 sides I'll start with the top and move right around it.
Family Seating
Middle daughter, Mother, Youngest daughter, Father, Middle son, Youngest son, Eldest son, Eldest daughter.
Kitchen: Again clutter should be removed. Ceiling lights and plants by windows slow down chi.
[I WILL GET INTO MORE DETAIL]
Bedroom: The bed should face in your best direction and you need to see who is entering the room. Amirror opposit a window can draw a nice view. However it is not recommended your bed be crossed by a window.
Clean out the Clutter
*Hall: coats, shoes, bags, oldmail. *Living room: newspaper, full ashtrays, used cups, childrens toys after bedtime, fallen plant leafs. *Kitchen:rotting fruit veggies, out of date packets and jars, rarely used electrical applicances, over filled garbage, odd pieces of crockery, plastic bags, crumbs, things that might come in handy yes Clutter. *Bedroom: pill bottles, used tissues, piles of clothes, old clothes and shoes, waste bin full, unread book piles, notebooks and work (big time no no in the bedroom never work) t.v,music they advice no but I could see music if it was romantic soft and soothing. but t.v. is a no no. *Children room: broken toys, out grown clothes, books they never look at, games and puzzles with pieces missing. unwashed clothes, over flowinf bins, candy wraps. *Bathroom:full waste bins, empty bottles, unnecessary decoration:soap dishes, unclean mirrors, old cosmetics, bath oils and perfumes never used.
This will get you started and once the clutter is out of the way we can start chi on it's circular movement thru the house by using plants in corners lighting in corners which will all be talked about next. _________________ WE ARE ALL UNITED, ALL PATHS LEAD TO ONE POINT, SO SPEAK NO UNKIND WORDS, TOSS NOT A SINGLE STONE.
