Hello all I was reading about the blackberry bushes. Sounds wonderful! My son and I have finally found our new home. My goal was privacy. We found a wonderful spot 3.1 miles out of town. It's fenced in (which is a good thing due to the fact that the former owner had friends stopping in day and night and I now had to resort to a lock on the gate to keep them all from coming up to the house and turning the knob & walking in-which makes you jump right up out of your chair!) we have a small creek that flows out back and has a small wooden bridge over it. It is wonderful to sit in the light of the moon, meditating, cleansing my tools, or whatever I need to do. We have our bench set up there on the bank. I have the bird bath up and we have a wonderful assortment of feathered friends around. Many different species. We have a fruit orchard on the other side of the house with pear, apple, plum and mulberry trees. I have wild plums and wild ground cherries growing out and about. I have found a few wild herbs also. They are two I use all the time!! I was so excited. I have had so many quiet moments just going to different areas and getting to know the area. I have invited friends out for the "offical" 'area warming' ceremony. I have been able to set out many of my things that got odd looks and strange glances in the city. I do hope everyone sometime in this current lifetime has a chance to find their own corner of the world. I am off to meet the different trees now, I have found many small branches around and plan to use them to make some tools. I will update you all as to what I find. May the winds be at your back, may the Lady and Lord bless you, and the sun always shine upon you. Blessed be.

Your place sounds so nice! I'm tired of listening to cars pass in the night and I swear crickets are even louder in town because they have to be heard over all the other noises.
I can't wait to hear more. |

| I love how your place sounds, and Autumns gardens too. I like to get to know the trees and plants on my property too. I have semi private almost 2 acres of land that we have planted many vines, shrubs, trees and gardens on. Id love to have a stream here. I do have a small dry stream bed that only runs when it pours. But lots of other rivers are near by such as feeders to the Sesquehanna River. There is an ancient Glen near by that I walk to often. It has amazingly huge boulders, a few waterfalls, and beautiful rock formations with small caves. The kids and I swim there and the dog when its warm. We collect smooth river glass too. My herbs are doing really well, but I lost some plants due to the hot dry weather we experienced in northeast PA. Blessings, River new poster, learning how to use the forums, so excuse the newbie stuff. |

| Hi So blessedbe. Im not sure about the spirtual past of the area, but I mentioned it to a Seneca woman at a powwow, and she said she remembered the area to be very powerful. I know when they put the by-pass in near the river in Tunkhannock, they found Native American pottery, and its in the local museum. Its important for us to connect with our heritage in this way. We always clean up the broken glass kids leave there, and thats one way I take care of Mother Earth. Its so healing for me to be there, and to have ritual there, that I want to thank the area by taking out garbage each time I visit. Blessings, River |
