Posted - August 06 2005 : 23:32:25 ~ For my first "lesson", I'd like to take a moment to talk about a few of the palmist's most necissary skills. You must have tact, and a store of "wise" comments, for all of the potential problems that may arise. ~ The most obvious of these is seeing a potential disaster or serious health problem.- If, for example, a person is presently on a course which will lead to a heart attack at about age forty, say something like,"Your health is generally good, but a problem arises when you reach about the age of forty. You should start watching you eating and exercise habits now." ~If a person's hands are confusing, you should study them carefully to determine which factors are dominant before speaking. That is not to say that you shouldn't tell a person everything that you see.- Some hands show contradicting indications, and it is better to be sure which traits are dominant. - For example, a person's hands may show that he has the potential to be taken advantage of, but also that he is strong-willed. In this case, you might tell him that,"People have a tendency to walk all over you, but when it matters, they will find that you have a heart of iron". ~ People are forever asking me if I can tell them how long they are going to live. - Yes, there are lines that indicate life span, and potential cause(s) of death. It is my experience, however, that focusing on such things, even if the person seems to sincerely want to know, is not a good idea. ~ It is important to remember,(and to tell those whose palms you read), that the events your hands presently predict are based on the course that you are following right now. The future is, to whatever degree that the Fates allow, changeable. ~ You should always end a reading on a positive note. I read it once, and it has saved me many times. : If all else fails, for a weak-handed person, you can say "There will always be someone to help you when it matters most". For a strong-handed person, you can say "You make your own luck". ~ In my next "lesson" I will go into detail in describing how a palmist may go about the initial inspection of the hands.I will describe the meaning of the shape and color of the hands, the fingers, the knuckles, nails and so forth. ~ Very Brightest Blessings,~ Cobweb
