Posted - July 08 2005 : 17:03:37 I'm I Witch from Central New Jersey. I've been practicing for 12+ years, most of that time as a solitary. For the past year I've been studying with a coven. My interestes are books, Wicca, computer games, divination (scrying), past life experiences, and more - but I won't bore you with all of it. I look forward to being a part of this community. Posted - July 13 2005 : 13:33:20 Maddini, I am glad that you were not upset! As I stated, it can be very tricky to give unsolicited advise, because one never knows how it is going to be recieved. Again, good luck with the studies and practices, and with the home improvement project.
Sincerely, blix |

Posted - July 13 2005 : 11:42:41 Hi Blix,
Good advice. The unfocused gaze is very important. I try to look not so much at the surface of the mirror,as through the mirror. It really does take a lot of practice, I've been doing this for around eight months now and have only started to see color in the mirror - before that most of my information came through feeling/sensation. I am also interested in the Tarot and plan to work on that in the future as well as working with a pendulum. Again, thanks. Maddini |

Posted - July 13 2005 : 11:00:15 Maddini, Hello! I understand the disruption which can be caused by any type of home improvement. The only thing that I hate more is moving! How long have you been working with a Black Mirror? I am sure that I need not tell you that as with other divining methods requiring 'gazing', one of the big 'tricks' is not to 'focus' your eyes sharply. It is a lot like viewing an aura, in that you get optimal results by actually allowing your eyes to become slightly 'unfocused'. If you are not careful though, your eyes will have a tendancy to cross!! The imagery will not actually be so much seen by your physical eyes, as with the 'third eye'. So, fight the urge to 'focus' your eyes sharply, and to 'actively search' for solid appearing images on the surface,or within whatever 'gazing' tool that you may be using at the time. Also, I might add, do not actively 'mentally' search for images which will give answer to the inquiry. If anything (especially at first), this will possibly result in 'false' imagery. Keep the inquiry in mind of course, but relax and do not attempt to 'force' imagery,or an answer to the inquiry. It will come! By focusing your eyes sharply, and/or actively mentally seeking or trying to 'find' (force) an answer, you will actually be fighting or distracting yourself from your goal. As you have found out, it takes a lot of practice to master 'gazing'. For some individuals it comes a lot easier than it does for others. I personally rely the most on my Tarot cards. I have used the Tarot almost exclusively since I was 15 (my grandmother taught me). I have come to trust the Tarot implicitly. If you do not already know how to use the Tarot, it is something worth exploring once you have mastered your divination by gazing. That is, if the Tarot is an 'art' which appeals to you. I really hope that I have not offended you by giving you any information which you are most likely already aware of. I merely wished to encourage you, and to possibly assist you if you were having problems in some area. I normally do not make a habbit of dispensing unsolicited assistance, because many times it can be insulting to the recieving party. Good 'luck' with your home improvement project, hopefully you will soon be able to peacefully resume your studies and work.
Have a great day, Blix

Posted - July 11 2005 : 10:44:51 Hello and thank you all for the warm welcome.
Autumclair - Don't worry about the switching, I was brand new to the old system so I really didn't have anything invested in it. I do like the way this new system is set up, good choice.
Blix - I seem to get the best results with a black mirror, but I also use water scrying from time-to-time. I've had to put my efforts with both on hold for a while, we are redoing my study so right now I don't have the quiet space necessary to work on it.
Cobweb - No, I don't have an Xbox. I mostly play PC games and some Game Cube games, and yes, I have an addiction to them. I'm still working on interpreting images as well, most of my information comes through as feelings when I scry so images are tough for me.

Posted - July 08 2005 : 21:41:28 Hello!,- Welcome Meddini! I enjoy crystal - gazing, though I'm still learning to interpret the images. - In computer games, do you ever play on x-box? I know it's not 'spiritual', but it is somewhat addictive! I look forwaed to 'talking' with you! Brightest Blessings!,- Cobweb |

Posted - July 08 2005 : 20:17:29 Maddini, Hello and Welcome! It is always nice to meet someone new. I am most likely the only male around here right now. There was one other, but I have not 'seen' him around for some time. I see that you are interested in scrying, which is a fascinating art. Have you used a Black Mirror? Again, I am pleased to meet you, and I look forward to future pleasant conversation.
Sincerely, Blix |
